For the first time since my tenth board exams, I am feeling
true anxiety before an exam. It is not simply stress, but something greater and
something that is very personal and close to my heart. “11th April 2025”
is the date for my end-semester exams. Even though I have been through a lot of
exams till now, this one is hitting differently. I would say that the last six
months at KUSOED have been the most focused and dedicated period of my academic
journey so far. I am not saying I have studied perfectly, but I would say with
all honesty: I tried. And I commit to try till I succeed this time.
Unlike my high school years and the time that followed,
studying was more of a routine than a purpose but now study has become a priority
for me. I am trying to be more consistent, and more present in my journey.
As I prepare, one thought keeps returning to me:
“I may have left hunting, but I haven’t forgotten how to
hunt.”
This line is motivating me to stand tall every time I fall down. It is helping
me to feel better in every situation by igniting a small spark of hope to
return and prove myself. Also, this line portrays that I am heavily influenced
by Bollywood.
In addition, this year has also brought a personal emotional
moment for me. My childhood hero, John Cena, is retiring from
professional wrestling. He was like a symbol of strength, and persistence to me.
And just weeks ago, he revealed his battle with cancer. Yet, all these things
are happening to him, he still continues to live his motto: “Never Give Up.”
This is the thing that made me inspired to stand tall in every situation of my
life. It reminds me that life is not about being perfect, but it is about continuing,
no matter what happens.
So here I am.
Not perfect. Not overconfident. But present. Focused. And
committed.
Let destiny do its job. I will keep hustling pushing forward
with the mindset that I carry now to never ever give up in any situation.
